2. Participation Standards
Participation in Cyber Odyssey USA events is considered a privilege, not an entitlement.
Because every event differs in terrain, logistics, group size, vehicle capability requirements, and operational considerations, participation may vary by event.
Cyber Odyssey USA reserves the right to approve, deny, limit, or remove participation at its discretion in order to maintain safety, coordination, community standards, sponsor integrity, and overall participant experience.
Private events, invite-only gatherings, and limited-capacity experiences may also be organized throughout the year at organizer discretion.
3. Safety & Vehicle Readiness
Participants are responsible for arriving prepared for the specific event they are attending.
This may include:
- Vehicle readiness
- Adequate charging/range planning
- Recovery equipment
- Basic safety preparation
- Understanding route expectations
- Compliance with organizer guidance during events
Participants are expected to drive responsibly and operate their vehicles safely and respectfully throughout the experience.
4. Organizer Authority
Event organizers and designated support staff maintain final authority during Cyber Odyssey USA events for operational coordination and participant safety.
Participants are expected to follow convoy communication, route guidance, safety instructions, and event coordination procedures throughout the experience.
Unsafe, disruptive, reckless, or non-compliant behavior may result in immediate removal from the event or future participation consideration.
5. Respect & Conduct
Cyber Odyssey USA events are built around mutual respect, maturity, and positive group dynamics.
Participants are expected to:
- Respect organizers, participants, sponsors, and community partners
- Respect event structure, communication, and coordination
- Respect public lands, local communities, and shared spaces
- Maintain professional and respectful behavior throughout the event experience
The following behaviors are not acceptable:
- Harassment or intimidation
- Aggressive or disruptive behavior
- Reckless driving
- Public drama creation
- Interference with event operations
- Behavior that negatively impacts group safety or participant comfort
6. Community Integrity
Cyber Odyssey USA events exist for participation, connection, learning, and shared adventure experiences.
Events, communication channels, and participant relationships may not be used for:
- Solicitation
- Recruitment
- Competing event promotion
- Sponsor poaching
- Participant exploitation
- Community disruption
- Unauthorized commercial activity using Cyber Odyssey USA branding or access
The integrity of the community experience remains a priority for organizers, participants, and partners alike.
7. Land Use & Environmental Standards
Cyber Odyssey USA strongly supports responsible land use and environmental stewardship.
Participants are expected to:
- Follow Leave No Trace principles
- Respect public and private land access
- Follow fire restrictions and local regulations
- Pack out trash and equipment
- Avoid destructive or irresponsible driving behavior
Public lands are a privilege, and preserving access for future generations remains an important part of the community culture.
8. Media & Photography
Cyber Odyssey USA events may be photographed or filmed for social media, promotional content, sponsor collaboration, and community storytelling purposes.
By participating in events, attendees acknowledge that they may appear in event-related media content.
At the same time, participants are expected to respect reasonable privacy requests from fellow attendees whenever possible.
9. Sponsor & Brand Integrity
Cyber Odyssey USA values its relationships with sponsors, partners, collaborators, and supporting businesses.
Participants may not:
- Misrepresent affiliations
- Use Cyber Odyssey USA branding without permission
- Solicit sponsors using Cyber Odyssey USA participation or relationships
- Mislead sponsors, participants, or partners regarding organizer relationships or event operations
Respect for sponsor relationships and community partnerships remains an important operational standard.
10. Removal & Future Participation
Cyber Odyssey USA reserves the right to remove participants from events, convoys, communication platforms, or future participation consideration at its sole discretion when conduct is determined to conflict with:
- Community standards
- Participant safety
- Operational coordination
- Sponsor integrity
- Land respect
- Overall event experience
Organizer decisions regarding participation and event operations remain final.
11. Privacy & Community Respect
Cyber Odyssey USA respects participant privacy, organizer discretion, and community trust.
Participant information, private communications, contact details, and internal event coordination are not sold, distributed, or shared with outside individuals or organizations.
Participants are expected to respect the privacy, boundaries, and comfort of fellow attendees, organizers, sponsors, and community partners both during and outside of event participation.
